Thanks for your response. In most cases, we can’t share a single view model across all fragments so in that case if you want to communicate back to parent fragment this approach could be better useful. And it’s fragment level method which means if we fallow any architecture like MVP or MVC this could be useful. Finally, my view is it would be better to use the existing methods in the class rather than using ViewModel for everything.
